Happy Donut Day from all of us at Ric Henry’s Auto Service!

If there’s one thing we love almost as much as a smooth-running engine, it’s a fresh, delicious donut. And around here, we know exactly where to get the best ones.

Skip the big chains and buy local! Treat yourself at Campus Donuts & Kolaches located at 3119 Knickerbocker Rd, San Angelo, TX 76904 It’s just a quick drive from our shop, so you’ve got no excuse to miss out on the good stuff.

Our grandbabies are officially donut lovers. Sean goes straight for the Red Sprinkle Donuts (can’t blame him, they’re a work of art), while Luci keeps it classy with a traditional glazed and a side of chocolate milk. Perfect combo, if you ask us.

Now, here’s the real secret: wanna make our day? Like, really make our day? Swing by the shop with a box of donuts from Campus Donuts & Kolaches and hang out with us for a few minutes.

We’d love to see you, hear about your car (or your grandkids), and share a sweet treat together.

Happy Donut Day, San Angelo. Drive safe, buy local, and save us a donut!

Be honest. You’ve thought it. 👀
“How do I know they’re actually doing the work they’re billing me for?”

Yeah, we’ve heard that whispered question in our parking lot. And you know what? Fair question.

So here’s ours for you, San Angelo:
What’s the one thing a shop could do to make you trust them completely?
(We’ll go first: show you the old parts. And the new ones. And send photos. And back it with a 3-year warranty. And pick your car up from your office because we’re nice like that.)

Click the link for our full, unfiltered blog post on trust, digital inspections, and why Ric Henry’s Auto Service has been the dealership alternative since 1966. No fluff. Just honest answers.

Drop your answer in the comments. We’ll read every single one.

“What exact time will my car be done?”

We have a job. Kids. A life. So do you. And we still cannot give you an exact time. 😬

Why? Read our new blog post (link below). It is honest, sarcastic, and exactly how we run our shop in San Angelo.

But here is the good news: we offer concierge pickup and delivery. Need a loaner? Just ask when you book. We will pick up your car, fix it, and bring it back. You stay at work. You stay with your kids. You keep your life.

Click the link to read why “I don’t know” is the most honest answer you will ever get.

Be honest. Have you ever walked into a shop with a box of Amazon brake pads? 🛑🛒

We love our San Angelo drivers, but let’s settle this once and for all. We just wrote a brutally honest blog post explaining why independent shops (yes, us included) get twitchy when you bring your own parts. Spoiler: it’s not because we want to be difficult. It’s because we want your car to actually stop when you hit the pedal.

Click the link to read: https://www.richenryautoservice.com/why-do-independent-shops-hate-when-you-bring-your-own-parts-whats-the-big-deal

and tell us in the comments: What’s the wildest part you’ve ever tried to bring to a mechanic? We’ll go first. Someone once brought a “lifetime warranty” alternator in a plastic bag. 😳

That moment of panic when you see a puddle under your car after running the AC in San Angelo.

😅 Water? Coolant? Brake fluid?
We wrote a blog to help you play driveway detective without losing your mind.

🛠️ “I’ll change the oil next month.”

Famous last words before a $5,000 engine bill.
We wrote a whole blog post explaining how a few small maintenance moves (fluid flushes, alignments, the boring stuff) can save you thousands a year. No fluff. Just real talk from a shop that’s been fixing San Angelo cars since before computers got AI personalities...

Your headlights aren’t supposed to look like old fog lamps. 💡
We see it all the time: cars pulling into our San Angelo shop with headlights so yellow and dim, you’d think they were powered by candles. And the owner always asks, “Can I just buy brighter bulbs?”

We wrote a whole (witty, honest) blog post explaining why that’s rarely the fix, when LEDs are illegal, and how a proper restoration + quality bulbs beats any Amazon special.

Question for you: Be honest, have YOU ever bought those blue-tinted “super bright” bulbs and regretted it? Or worse, been blinded by someone who did? 👇

Is your Chevy Equinox burning more oil than a San Angelo barbecue pit? 🔥🐖

We just dropped a brutally honest blog post on the GM 2.4L Ecotec disaster. Is it stuck piston rings? Or a sneaky PCV failure hiding in your valve cover? We spill all the tea (and the 5W-30).

Be honest, when’s the last time you rotated your tires, or are you on Team “Run ‘Em Till They’re Bald”? 👀

We rotated a car last week where the front tires had less tread than my grandpa’s comb-over. The rear tires? Still looked brand new. Don’t be that driver. 👎
Skipping tire rotation means buying two tires now, two tires later, and paying more overall.

👉 Click the link to read the full post and learn why all four tires should retire together:

And when you’re ready to do it right? Trust your car in the hands of Ric Henry’s Auto Service, same dealer tools, better folks, and a 3-year/36k-mile warranty.

🥵 Your car dies when you turn on the AC? That’s not “Texas character.” That’s carbon buildup.

We see it every summer in San Angelo: you hit the AC button and your engine says “nope” and clocks out. Idle drops, engine stumbles, dies. Mortifying at a drive-thru. Dangerous at a stop sign. 🛑

So what’s the real culprit? Usually a dirty throttle body or a gummed-up IAC passage. We clean it. We reset the idle learn. We fix it.

Click the link to read our full, witty, no-nonsense blog on why your car dies with the AC on, and why a shop that evolves with the industry (like us) is the only one you should trust.

But here’s our question for YOU: On a scale from 1 to “swampy” how desperate are you for cold AC right now? 👇
