Beats on please 🎧 this thing sounds wicked 🕺dr_jcapps_phoenix_pc This 2009 Cyber Grey ZR1 was brought over by this afternoon for me to look over the tune file, see how the power and torque numbers compared to those reported by the previous owner, and give everything a once over, or at least that was originally the plan.
It was reported the car previously made somewhere in the mid-high 700whp range, and this was backed up by a baseline pull producing 765whp and 721lbft of torque as it sat with 120F IATs. The mod list consists of a (now known as ) ported supercharger making around 15psi, camshaft and supporting valvetrain, CAl and coolant tank, a set of cylinder heads, triple disk, Kooks LT headers and midpipe, flex fuel (unknown injectors but data looks like FIC 1300cc-ish), reinforced SC bricks, and a catch can.
Proper list of mods for a proper ZR1. Moving on.
I then tried my hand at improving on the tuning side of things and optimized everything as I usually would. Starting from scratch (other than leaving the injector data alone), the LS9 rewarded us with a stout 801whp and 753lbft of torque, even with 140F IATs in the ambient 105F Texas heat. I’d love to see this car back on the dyno with a bit more fuel pressure and a fair comparison IAT of around 120F or less. Either way, I’II take gains of around +40whp and +30lbft any day! Copied and I have all parts in stock including Kong 2650 and supporting mods to put this bad boy over 1000 rwhp fastlanefast who’s next ☺️🚀💯
