Brand new doesn’t always mean perfect paint.
Before ceramic coating a new vehicle, we still inspect the finish for light swirls, water spots, transport marks, or dealership polishing defects.
Sometimes it needs correction before the coating goes on.
But here’s the important part:
New paint does not need to be over-corrected just to prove how good you are with a polisher.
Every correction removes some clear coat. The goal should be to remove only what’s necessary, improve the finish, and preserve as much paint as possible for the future.
That’s where experience matters.
If you’re looking for paint correction and ceramic coating in San Diego, make sure the person doing the work knows when to polish—and when to stop.
