JES BUILT is all about building motorcycle parts the Old School way. I prefer this look to all the new CNC'd parts out there today. They look nice but just not my style.I have been riding and working on motorcycles since 1978 and went to MMI (Motorcycle Mechanics Institute) in 1987. I don't give much credit to the school but it was a good time.I specialize in 79 to 83 Honda CB-F DOHC motorcycles a

nd these are what I build parts for.If you can think it up, I can probably make it.Keep it in a Wheelie, Jim

I got the actuator made to connect the carburetors to the TPS. I just need some proper bolts to get it held in place.

Oh man do I feel humbled.
The phone rings and it says it's "Bad" Brad Lackey. I thought ya right it's a scammer using his name but I answered. I say is this "THE" 1982 500cc World Motocross champion Brad Lackey? He laughs and says yes.
So, I told him that I always wanted his '77 RC500 twin shock bike but Honda never offered mortals a twin shock Big bore. So I made a replica.
He needs some cylinder fins welded up on a Bultaco.

So freaking COOL. 😎

It's pretty cool doing this kind of work. People send me lots of pictures of their bikes and what they are doing to them. This is Rick van der Meer's chassis. He is doing his best to get the rake and trail setup for his liking.

DIY shift detent arm roller bearing kit. $20.00 plus the shipping. Comes with instructions. Smoother shifting with less missed shifts which is easier for your engagement dogs on the gears. Win win situation.

I have now sold 250 worldwide with nothing but good things said for feedback. Not one complaint which is better than I can say for a product i used to sell for another company.

Here's some more DOHC CB trivia.
The 750/900/1100 all use a different style of ignition advancer. The 750 is on the top, 900 middle and 1100 on the bottom. The 750 has 2 weights on one side, the 900 has one on each side and the 1100 also has 1 weight but it is lighter so it will start advancing later.

I don't have many pictures of Old Yeller. I came across these pictures on a forum I used to be on daily before FB came along. It was my 1st attempt at a road race bike back when I still followed Mr. Hyde. These pictures were at Willow Springs in 2015. My good buddy Phil Buie came along for support. This was my 1st time racing. I had Dennis Parrish race the bike. Unfortunately it didn't last long. I learned the oil pump doesn't like 12,000 rpm for very long. Live and learn.

I used to race motocross. I'm on my custom made 1980 CR480 that I built in 04 with the help of some good friends Jay Lael and Nobby Toledo (RIP). I used an '80 CR250 frame and many parts and the engine from an 82/83 CR480. She's a ripper for sure. It eats Maico490's for an appetizer. 🤔😁😎

In this album I will do my best to show what I will be doing to install this ignition. I am not a tech guy so if you see me messing up feel free to share your experience with this ignition. I don't care what you did with your Dyna 200. I have messed with plenty of those. Lets stay on track and maybe all of us will learn something and get a better running CB-F.

This is what Ignitech supplied me with. I needed the connections to connect it to my laptop and they supplied the connections at a good cost IMO. I have also had them send me a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). Because of the TPS. I decided to also buy their universal wire harness. It is capable of doing way more functions than I plan to use. With the addition of the TPS. I can turn the ignition into a very simple 3D system which is way more accurate than the mechanical advancer on the bike. In the middle of the picture is the billet piece I got from RICCI Engineering out of AUS. Ignitech does not supply this. I also had to drill and tap the throttle shaft end for the carburetors. Then make an adaptor to control the TPS. You can run the ignition with all of the OEM parts as they are. I wanted a bit better for Hugh.
I will keep adding to this album as I go about it all. Stay Tuned.
