Pine sap left on paint.
+ If you see yellow sticky pine sap, it needs to be removed swiftly.
+ These spots were still soft, assuming they came from the last month or two.
In the photo you'll see I removed the sap.
When left too long, sap will swell the clear coat and stain the color underneath.
Unfortunately thinking something isn't a big deal turns into an $800 hood repaint to fix this.
This paint is a three stage pearl, cost could be higher.

The spring weather has been hard on our cars. Make sure to open your hood, trunk and sun roofs to look for dirt and tree gunk.
This can plug drainage holes and cause internal water damage if not cleaned.
