Some rare 900's and 99 leaving the photo shoot today as the Saab Owners Convention in Huntsville, especially the red 1986 900T convertible, I believe it was a show car for the up and coming new for 1986 convertible Saab was releasing

Since Scanwest is a sponser of the 43rd Saab Owners Convention, we get to pick a car we feel meets the definition of the perfect Saab, the car we want to recognize. I have picked car #249, a 2000 9-3 Monte Carlo Yellow Viggen 3 door, 1 of 24 made. An all original car with a father, son team. His son Carson, not even 16 yet, owns two! 2006 9-3's! This is their first Saab Convention. Way to go Brian and Carson!

Building up a B235 short block for a Viggen at the shop this week, block is all machined and ready for the Wossner pistons. Rebuilt head going on next. I think the car has all of the performance bolt on parts that Taliaferro Saab sells for the car in their catalog! Limited slip going in next for the transmission.

Replacing the a/c compressor on a very special Saab. Dennis' (from Squaabworks) 2011 9-3 Aero Hirsch edition that was one of Saab's show cars for the Chicago and Detroit International Car Shows for the 2011 sales year. Very nice touches with all the Hirsch add-ons, I didn't get any pictures of the interior but has the leather Hirsch handle set and Hirsch dash options.
