The First 30 has now collected six major international awards, with the latest coming from Cruising World, naming it 2026 Boat of the Year, Best Midsize Cruiser.

Cruising World’s judges praised the First 30 for its planing hull, balanced rudders and easy tiller steering, calling it an “absolutely invigorating boat to sail.” Sailing World recorded 14 knots on Chesapeake Bay, with a reported top speed of 19 knots.
