Still smiling after an incredible Saturday at Cars & Critters! ☀️🚗

Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by the Pete’s Automotive setup to talk shop, swap stories, and check out the cars.

The highlight of our day? Getting to tour the Petaluma High School Automotive Shop 🛠️

A lot of people don’t realize that the PHS Auto Shop operates strictly as a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational program. They aren't a commercial garage fixing public cars—it’s a pure learning lab for students. Because of that, they rely entirely on community support, donations, and events like this weekend's to keep their tools updated and their garage doors open.

Walking through that shop, we were seriously blown away. At Pete's, we’re a full-service shop—we love our vintage classics, but we spend just as much time plugged into modern diagnostic gear servicing late-model commuters. Seeing these kids master both the mechanical grit and the high-tech side of automotive theory gives us so much hope for the future of our trade. 🛞🔥

Another weekend, another lineup of classic steel! 🛠️✨

This Saturday, the Pete’s Automotive crew is heading over to Petaluma High School for the Cars & Critters Car Show and Open House!

We love any excuse to look at vintage rides, but this one is extra special because it’s put on by the awesome PHS Auto Shop students and benefits the Petaluma Wildlife Museum. There is nothing better than supporting the next generation of mechanics who love these older cars just as much as we do. 🛞🦖

We are officially down in historic downtown Petaluma for the Salute to American Graffiti car show. Over 600 classic beauties are lining the streets, and you know the Pete’s Automotive crew is in our absolute element. 🛠️✨

If you’re walking the boulevard checking out the hot rods and muscle cars, come find us and say hi! We love talking shop, swapping stories, and admiring the steel that made the ‘50s and ‘60s legendary.

🐶 Meet Santa, Support Service Dogs! 🎅

The team at Pete’s Automotive is so excited to be a proud, long-time sponsor of the Canine Companions Santa Paws event happening this weekend, December 6th & 7th, at Western Farm Center!

This cause is close to our entire team’s hearts, especially Pete’s owner, Jason, who is a dedicated, long-time puppy raiser for Canine Companions. We have been supporting this incredible event and mission for many years, helping to provide highly-trained service dogs free of charge to those in need.

🎁 December Fun Fact: Reindeer Power! 🦌

Since we're officially in December and thinking about Santa's sleigh... did you know that the concept of "horsepower" was defined way back in the 1700s?

💡 Here's a fun thought experiment:

If you replaced all the horses with reindeer, studies suggest a single reindeer could generate about 0.7 horsepower in a trot.

That means Santa would need at least 13 reindeer to equal the power of a tiny Smart Car (which has about 90 hp)!

We're not saying Dasher and Dancer need an oil change, but we are saying your car needs a little more power than a team of 10! 😉
