Class of 75 recap - this week’s Class of 75 recaps spotlight more of the drivers who helped make the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring an endurance racing icon!

Al Holbert: A two-time overall Sebring winner remembered for driving the fan-favorite Löwenbräu Porsche 962

Bob Wollek: A former French national ski team member who teamed with A.J. Foyt to win Sebring in 1985

Brian Redman: Helped deliver BMW’s landmark Sebring victory in 1975 alongside Allan Moffat, Sam Posey and Hans Stuck

Briggs Cunningham: Competed in the inaugural Twelve Hours in 1952, and his cars won three consecutive overall races from 1953–1955

Hans Herrmann: Claimed two overall Sebring victories for Porsche, winning in 1960 and 1968

Wednesday night, we celebrated the history, legends, and community that have shaped Sebring as we look ahead to the 75th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring! 🏁

A special thank you to our moderator, Calvin Fish, and panelists John Doonan, Matt Muha, Johnny O'Connell, and Ford Heacock for sharing their stories, perspectives, and passion for Sebring.

Ahead of the 2027 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, we are thrilled to present an all new Alec Ulmann perpetual trophy! Here’s to another 75 years being etched into history.

🏁 The handles on the sides of the trophy represent the wings of an airplane that flew in and out of Hendricks Field from 1942 to 1945.

🏁 The six panels around the trophy pay homage to the Western Hemisphere’s first sports car endurance race, the New Year’s Eve six-hour Sam Collier Memorial Grand Prix of Endurance, held at Sebring International Raceway on Dec. 31, 1950.

🏁 The 12 uprights, located just above the words Alec Ulmann Trophy, are emblematic of the 12 hour race.

🏁 Looking at the trophy from above, there is a clock face also representative of the 12 hour race.

🏁 Most noticeable on the trophy, the stylized 12 on top of the clock dial also signifies the 12 hour race.

Join us TOMORROW NIGHT as Sebring International Raceway takes over the Sebring Blue Streaks senior night game! We’ve got our pace car, plenty of Sebring swag, and a little extra reason to cheer for those touchdowns!

🏈 EVERY BLUE STREAKS TOUCHDOWN = A CHANCE TO WIN! 🎟️

The answer is B: The first Formula One Grand Prix held in the United States.

On December 12, 1959, Sebring hosted the inaugural United States Grand Prix. Bruce McLaren won the historic race at just 22 years old.

Another legendary moment written into Sebring’s history.
