Did you know that using standard household toilet paper or skipping a tank flush can cause your holding tank monitors to read "Full" even right after you empty them? 🚽💩

Most standard RV holding tanks use small, metal sensor probes drilled into the side of the tank walls. If regular toilet paper, wet wipes, or solid waste gets caught on these probes, it forms a bridge of sludge. This sludge conducts electricity across the tank wall, tricking your control panel into displaying a 2/3 or Full reading permanently.

RV wheel bearings endure massive friction and heat. Over time, the grease breaks down, thins out, or gets contaminated by road moisture. If a bearing runs dry, it will weld itself to the axle at highway speeds, throwing a wheel right off your trailer.

🛠️ The Rule of Thumb: Trailer bearings must be inspected, cleaned, and repacked with fresh grease every 12 months or 12,000 miles—whichever comes first.

Did you know that if your 12V water pump keeps running continuously or "cycles" on and off when no faucets are open, you likely have a hidden leak? 🚰💦

Your RV water pump works on a pressure switch. Once it pumps the water lines up to a certain pressure (usually 45-55 PSI), it shuts off. If the pump turns on randomly for a few seconds when nobody is using water, it means your plumbing system is losing pressure. This can be caused by a failing internal check valve, or worse—a hidden pipe fitting behind a wall slowly dripping water onto your floor.

🛠️ The Rule of Thumb: Always visually inspect your water pump’s plastic filter bowl for cracks and check the fittings for tight seals before filling your fresh water tank.
