One our soldiers left his Charger with a family member while out with his unit, when his fiancé went to pick the car up she discovered that the car had been totally disrespected and abused in the family member’s care. They had spilled food and drink all over the seats and console, smoked in it and left their ashes in the carpet and cup holders, as well as having animals in the car and leaving their messes behind, and parking it under a tree and leaving the tree sap to bond to the paint.
Fortunately the car was able to be sanitized and restored cosmetically to how it looked when it was trusted to his family, unfortunately the smoke damage was severe and only time and additional treatment will eliminate the cigarette smell from the car.
