At Offduty Overland, we absolutely LOVE rooftop tents. There’s something special about sleeping under the stars and enjoying the simplicity of camping. But there was always one thing that drove us crazy…
Being tied to our campsite!
If we wanted to jump in the truck and go exploring, we had to break everything down first. We wanted the freedom to set up camp, unhitch, and head out on an adventure without packing up our sleeping arrangements every time.
So we started looking at teardrop trailers.

Here’s where things got interesting.
THE ENTRANCE
One of our biggest complaints about traditional teardrops was having to crawl directly into bed just to get inside. We didn’t want that. We wanted somewhere to step inside, sit down, take our shoes off, and THEN climb into bed.

THE AIRFLOW & OPEN FEELING
Another thing we didn’t like about many teardrops was that enclosed, boxed-in feeling. We still wanted to FEEL like we were camping, not sleeping in a little sealed box.
With Campinawe, the entire front opens up with a screened opening, allowing incredible airflow and giving you that open-air, tent-camping experience whenever you want it.
That was a HUGE selling point for us!
A REAL QUEEN-SIZE BED!
Not some oddball RV mattress that you have to special order.
A FULL queen-size mattress!
Want memory foam? Go for it. Want a different mattress? Pick the one YOU like.
Being able to choose a regular queen mattress is an absolute game changer.
STORAGE THAT ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE
We looked at several trailers where storage seemed like an afterthought.
Campinawe gives us room for our gear without feeling like we’re constantly trying to figure out where everything is going to fit.
And when you’re traveling with camping gear, cooking equipment, and everything else needed for an adventure, storage matters!
A KITCHEN THAT WORKS FOR YOU
We saw some teardrops with absolutely incredible kitchens. Beautiful cabinets, built-in appliances, and all kinds of fancy features.
But here’s the thing…
I don’t want someone else deciding exactly how my camp kitchen needs to be arranged.
With Campinawe, I can configure my cooking areas however I want, depending on what we’re cooking, where we’re camping, and how many people we’re feeding.
That flexibility is worth more to me than a fancy built-in kitchen!
THE PRICE
This one still blows my mind.
We looked at camping trailers that cost nearly as much as our HOUSE!
Seriously?!
For the price of some trailers in this class, we could have purchased THREE Campinawes.
We wanted something rugged, practical, comfortable, and affordable without paying a fortune for features we didn’t need.

Our Campinawe is lightweight, tows like it’s not even behind the truck, and is built for adventure.
And let’s be real…
It doesn’t look like every other teardrop on the road!
We love that!

Brett and Nate were absolutely incredible from the beginning.
They listened to what we wanted, answered our questions, supported our ideas, and genuinely went out of their way to help us.
That kind of customer service is becoming harder and harder to find.
Being able to drive to the Kansas City area, see these trailers being built, meet the people behind them, and stop in for a visit made our decision even easier.
We weren’t just buying a trailer. We were building a relationship with people who genuinely care about their customers and their product.
THAT is what sold us on Campinawe more than anything else!
