Another one in the shop!

This grey van came in with weak and clunky shifting. While it didn’t show a 1st gear downshift issue during testing, it’s definitely not performing like it should at just 40K miles.

We’re starting with a transmission fluid and filter service, but it’s likely headed toward a warranty transmission replacement. Tim is on it and making sure it’s diagnosed and fixed up!

This Friday, we'll be delivering all collected donations to the American Red Cross in Chattanooga to help the families displaced by the devastating Integra Vistas apartment fire.

If you'd still like to contribute, we're accepting donations through Friday morning. Items most needed include:

Diapers (all sizes)
Baby wipes
Diaper rash cream
Onesies
Bottles & pacifiers
New socks, pajamas, and children's hygiene items

Gas Technician Ryan has been diagnosing and repairing this beautiful Jeep after it came in with persistent overheating and engine misfire issues—even after a recently replaced thermostat and heater core.

After a thorough inspection, Ryan completed several major repairs, including:
Replacing both catalytic converters
Replacing the left and right valve cover gaskets
Installing new spark plugs
Replacing the HVAC blend door actuator
Installing a new water pump

We are absolutely grateful by the generosity of our community!

The response to our donation drive for the families affected by the devastating Integra Vistas apartment fire has been incredible. Thank you to everyone who has already stopped by with donations. Your kindness is a reminder of what makes our community so special.

We're continuing to collect donations today and all of next week to help families who lost so much. While we're thankful no lives were lost, many parents and children were displaced with only the belongings they could carry.

We are collecting baby and children's essentials including:
Diapers (all sizes)
Baby wipes
Diaper rash cream
Onesies
Bottles & pacifiers
New socks, pajamas, and children's hygiene items

All donations will be delivered directly to the American Red Cross in Chattanooga, which is providing assistance to the affected families.

Matt Hulsey serves as J2’s Service Writer, helping customers navigate their vehicle repair and maintenance needs with honesty and professionalism. Married for 31 years, Matt is a proud father of two daughters and grandfather of two grandchildren. He is also a local preacher who is passionate about serving others both inside and outside the shop. In his spare time, Matt enjoys cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Vols.

Our hearts are with the families affected by the devastating apartment fire at Integra Vistas in Hixson over the holiday weekend. While we're incredibly thankful that no lives were lost, many families were forced to leave their homes with very little.

As a small way to help, J2 Diesel & Gas Repair is collecting essential items for babies and young children that will be delivered directly to the American Red Cross in Chattanooga, which is assisting the displaced families.

Items needed include:
Diapers (all sizes)
Baby wipes
Diaper rash cream
Onesies
Bottles, pacifiers, and other baby essentials
New socks, pajamas, and children's hygiene items

Donations can be dropped off this week and next at our shop during business hours. Every item, no matter how small, can make a difference for a family starting over.
