Called several different dealerships in my area. Even a few truck garages that the dealerships use for other stuff to try to solve an issue. All the garages that said it can't be done wouldn't provide any reason for the most part and just kept trying to pass the buck onto somebody else.
I did a bunch of research and found it can be done, and found all the codes I needed. Also, the bulletin for the service
advisor/mech on how to contact GM for the software I was trying to get. Still, everybody said it can't be done.
Even called GM corporate several times, but they were absolutely no help; they told me to contact the dealer.
I called this dealership and explained to them what I wanted, and gave them all the stuff I found. Very minor thing in my opinion. They told me they would call me back in a bit; they had to talk to their Master Tech. I was like, great, I heard this from several dealerships. Well, they called me back when they said they would, and said yes, we can do that, no problem.
We ran into a few problems getting the software from GM. But Memorial made it happen. The Master Tech they have knows his stuff and is very helpful. He went above and beyond what I feel he had to do to help me out. So did the Service Advisor and the Service Manager. I'd like to give a huge shout out to Stephen, Frank,and Scott for helping me.
Very polite, actually would listen. By far, the most help I have ever received from a dealership they want to earn your business. They definitely earned mine. I will be taking my truck there for any issues and services I can't fix myself on my 2026 Chevy 2500 Duramax ZR2, even though they are an hr away from me. Thank you again, and look forward to working with you all in the future.
