Weā€™ve got a ā€˜70s Ford F-100 Explorer laid flat on the groundā€”body dropped. Now, one thing I always say: nothing tucks like a Ford. Those small wheel arches swallow half the rim when you lay it outā€”and this one tucks just right. Itā€™s got survivor patina, looks like factory paint, a little worn, and the interior is a time capsuleā€”tear on the seat and all.

Now, old F-100s had that I-beam front suspensionā€”great for ride quality back then, terrible for lowering. Thatā€™s why this oneā€™s on an Acme chassisā€”beautifully done. Thatā€™s how you get it laying rockers on the ground.

And you know, I grew up around F-100sā€”my dad was a Ford man. I wrenched on these as a kid, which is probably why I drive an OBS Chevy nowā€”they need less work! But this Ford? Itā€™s got that perfect mix of old soul and modern craftsmanship. Itā€™s just a cool truck, man.

repost from Its been 6 years since i brought the truck to last showing it had a 355 and coilover suspension, immediately after the show i ripped the 355 out and swapped in a LS engine. Now its got a old dressed up LS 5.3 and sitting on .chassis.factory and sporting bigger wheels. It was good to see the utah hawg boys .
