Parking lot race: big turbo vs stock turbo. Which one spools first?
We put our Turbonator® S366 VGT ball bearing turbo up against a stock factory turbo in a dead-stop parking lot race outside our warehouse. Both trucks on stock fueling. No boost building before launch. Less than 300 yards of runway, so spool up decides everything.

Everyone assumes a 66mm turbo means lag. The Turbonator® VGT says otherwise. Variable stator vanes act like a small turbo on the low end and a large turbo up top, and the ball bearing center section gets the wheel moving instantly. The result: a big turbo that spools as fast or faster than stock, with way more air when you get into it.

We got our Dyno results back from our completely stock 5th Gen 6.7 Cummins. Now it’s time to add our Turbonator VGT stock modified turbo with a larger 63 mm wheel size. Stay tuned for the results!
