Missouri can see freezing temps by late October. That means if you're planning to park your rig for the winter, now is when you start thinking about winterization — not the night before a freeze is forecast.

What winterization covers:

Heading into October, here's what we'd tell every St. Louis RV owner to check before the weather turns:

✅ Roof sealant — especially around the AC unit and vents
✅ Furnace — test it now, not the night you need it
✅ Slide seals — cracked seals let water in all fall and winter
✅ Battery — cold temps kill weak batteries fast
✅ Brakes — if you've had a heavy summer, get them looked at
