Dolooma Academy is partnering with TowTruckTech to create the towing industry’s first ever independent training portal. That means, when you accept a job, you’ll recieve training videos on how to handle modern cars down to the make, model, and service type.

OEMs are already partnering with the platform to begin building videos for towers, what do you think of this?

IS YOUR TOWING OPERATION AFFECTED BY THIS?

KBK lost Amguard and they’re struggling to get their national program back up to speed. That means the insurance market place is about to get crazy. If your renewal is within the next 60-120 days, you want to get on shopping your rates RIGHT NOW.

Is this something your towing company is going to have to deal with within the next 60-120 days?

With firsthand experience owning and operating wreckers, Tow Truck Tech understands the challenges towing and recovery professionals face every day. That real world industry knowledge helps current tow truck operators navigate their insurance options, find competitive quotes, and secure coverage tailored to their specific business needs.

Before you load a Lucid Gravity onto a flatbed, you need to know this setting exists.

Flatbed Transport Mode not only holds the car in neutral for winching to the carrier deck, it also raises the suspension to full extension providing additional clearance during loading, helping protect both the front and rear bumpers from contacting the carrier.

One setting.

A few extra inches of clearance.

And potentially thousands of dollars in damage avoided.

It is a remarkably smart feature—but only if the towing operator knows it exists.

As vehicles become more advanced, the details required to handle them correctly are becoming less intuitive. That information needs to reach the operator before the vehicle is loaded—not after the damage is done.

YOUR INSURANCE AGENT SHOULDN’T BE LEARNING THE TOWING BUSINESS ON YOUR POLICY.

Experience matters. So does having access to more than one or two insurance markets.

We’re beginning to see premiums stabilize for well run towing operations that maintain clean loss histories. Having an agent who understands the business, and access to the right markets, matters when it’s time to capitalize on that.

My understanding of towing operations comes from decades spent working in the industry and the last 15 years insuring it.

Our agency primarily focuses on larger towing companies, heavy duty fleets, rotators and specialized operations. That’s our wheelhouse and where our experience really sets us apart. We also selectively work with well-run smaller fleets where we believe we can make a meaningful difference.

If your renewal is coming up, let’s talk.

STOP HOOKING LUCID SUSPENSIONS

Vehicle platforms are evolving. How towers handle them is stuck in the 1980s.

Yeah, I know. “I’ve been doing cars that way for 20 years and never had a problem.”

It’s never a problem—until it is. And on these vehicles, problems get expensive fast.

The Lucid Gravity doesn’t care that you’re a self-proclaimed Tow God.

It’s ready to teach you a harsh lesson.

Treat it poorly, and it will return the favor.

🚨 STOP LETTING AI ANSWER YOUR PHONES. 🚨

The towing companies replacing experienced dispatchers with AI are about to learn an expensive lesson.

Everyone's obsessed with replacing dispatchers with AI. That's a mistake.

Dispatching isn't data entry. It isn't payroll. It isn't bookkeeping.

Dispatching is SALES.

Every phone call is a negotiation, Every breakdown is different, Every customer has a different urgency Every tower, truck, driver, ETA, and piece of equipment changes the equation.

A good dispatcher isn't just taking orders—they're solving problems, protecting margins, keeping customers calm, selling the job, and making a hundred judgment calls an hour.

AI isn't there yet.

Want to save money with AI?

Let it process payroll, Let it reconcile invoices, Let it organize paperwork, Those are transactional jobs.

Your dispatch desk is your revenue desk.

Agree or disagree?

👇 Let's hear it.

Another one of those videos Towers need to be paying attention to.

This one has the potential to get really expensive fast.

We’ve covered Air, in great detail for Lucid Motors, more information coming.

BEWARE OF THIS $25,000 DAMAGE CLAIM

Towers and transporters are causing costly damage to the Lucid Air, opening the front trunk while the vehicle is in motion. Repair claims ranging from $10,000 to $25,000. The good news is it's easy to prevent.

Before towing or transporting the vehicle, and after it's fully strapped down, turn OFF:
• Shock & Tilt
• Passive Lock
• Passive Unlock

If the alarm goes off while the Lucid Air is being moved, DO NOT press the remote or interact with it for any reason.

Have you towed a Lucid? What was your experience?

Towers get screwed daily allowing third party aggregators to assess damage claims. While this practice, in most cases, keeps the claim off the Tower’s Insurance Loss Runs they are placed in the position to go along with what the aggregator determines. This move is by no means designed to protect the Tower, it’s purely an effort to protect their own relationship and reputation with their OEM or Insurance clients. Towers should always demand a second look from their own party in the matter. Damages assessments are customarily repaid through a payment plan deducted from future earnings. A cheap $55 tow that ends up costing them thousands in very questionable damages.
