Walking into a new doctor’s office shouldn’t feel like you’re preparing for a pop quiz on everything that’s wrong with you.

Whether you’re dealing with chronic back pain, neck tension, stress, anxiety, or just feeling like your body isn’t quite cooperating lately, I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and understanding your options.

My approach to integrative chiropractic care is a little different. We look at the bigger picture, take time to understand what’s going on, and explore treatments like gentle chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, and other ways to support your body’s natural healing process.

No rushing. No one-size-fits-all approach. And definitely no expectation that you have it all figured out before you walk through the door.

Curious about what your first visit might look like? Here’s a little peek inside my office.

Exhausted all day, but the second your head hits the pillow, your brain decides it’s time to discuss absolutely everything?

I hear this a lot from my patients. Busy parents, business owners, caregivers, teachers, and people who spend their days taking care of everyone and everything except themselves.

You feel tired, but you can’t seem to relax. You’re easily overwhelmed, your shoulders stay tense, your sleep isn’t refreshing, and even when you finally have a moment to rest, your body doesn’t seem to get the message.

This is often described as feeling tired but wired.

Your autonomic nervous system helps regulate your body’s stress response and its ability to rest and recover. When you’re under prolonged stress, shifting out of that heightened state can become difficult.

In my practice and The Better Health Tribe, I look at how stress, physical tension, sleep, and nervous system function may be contributing to the way you’re feeling.

Because being exhausted and being able to rest are two very different things.

That shoulder pain you keep rubbing might not actually be coming from your shoulder.

I see this with patients all the time. Desk workers dealing with constant shoulder tension, hairstylists with aching arms, parents carrying kids around, and people who wake up with tight shoulders no matter how they sleep.

Here’s what I want you to understand.

Your muscles don’t work independently. They’re connected to your nervous system, your movement patterns, and what’s happening elsewhere in your body.

Sometimes, the spot that hurts isn’t where the problem started.

Stretching, massage, and heat might feel great temporarily, but if that same shoulder blade pain keeps coming back, I want to know WHY.

In my practice, I look at the whole body, not just the area that’s bothering you. My goal is to understand what’s contributing to your discomfort so we can work toward lasting relief instead of constantly chasing symptoms.

Because I don’t think rubbing that same sore spot every afternoon should be your long-term solution.

You’re eating healthier. You’re exercising. You’re taking your supplements. You’re doing everything you’re supposed to do.

So why don’t you actually FEEL better?

If you’re a woman over 40 dealing with constant fatigue, a busy parent running on caffeine, a healthcare worker pushing through chronic stress, or someone managing persistent pain despite trying to live a healthier lifestyle, this conversation is for you.

I see patients who are doing so many things right, yet they’re still struggling with low energy, poor sleep, inflammation, or that frustrating feeling of never quite being themselves.

Sometimes the answer isn’t adding another supplement, another workout, or another thing to your already overflowing to-do list.

It’s taking a closer look at what’s actually going on in your body.

Your nervous system, stress response, sleep quality, and overall health are connected. And when something isn’t working well, simply trying harder may not be the answer.

You deserve to understand WHY you’re feeling the way you do.

That’s exactly the kind of conversation we’re having inside The Better Health Tribe.

Your lower back hurts, so you stretch it. Maybe crack it a little. Feel better for a few hours… and then you’re right back where you started.

Sound familiar?

Here’s something I see in my chiropractic practice all the time. The place where you’re feeling pain isn’t necessarily where the problem started.

Your lower back relies on the muscles around your hips, pelvis, and core for support. When those muscles aren’t working well together, other areas may have to compensate.

Think about how many hours you spend sitting at a desk, driving, or standing on your feet all day. Now add years of doing that without paying much attention to how your body moves.

It’s no wonder so many people struggle with recurring lower back pain.

But here’s the important part: not every case of back pain has the same cause. That’s why I want to understand what’s happening before deciding how to treat it.

If you’re a desk worker dealing with constant stiffness, a parent whose back hurts every time you pick up your kids, or someone who’s tired of waking up with lower back pain, this conversation is for you.

And if you’re interested in understanding your body beyond just chasing symptoms, join us in The Better Health Tribe.

You shouldn’t have to rehearse what you’ll say so someone takes your pain seriously.

For the desk workers whose neck and shoulder pain follows them home. The teachers and nurses whose lower back hurts before their shift is over. The moms and caregivers who keep putting their own chronic pain on the “I’ll deal with it later” list.

I want to hear more than where it hurts. When did it start? What makes it worse? What’s it keeping you from doing?

Those answers deserve time and attention. Your daily life belongs in the conversation about your health.

I’m Dr. David Trybus, a chiropractor and acupuncturist who believes listening is part of caring for the whole person.

It’s 5 PM. Your shoulders are practically touching your ears, your neck is stiff, and that headache you’ve been ignoring since lunch is officially making itself known.

Sound familiar?

If you’re a teacher who spends all day on your feet, a nurse working 12-hour shifts, a mom juggling everyone’s schedules, or an office worker who spends eight hours staring at a screen, this one’s for you.

When your body spends too much time in fight-or-flight mode, your nervous system can stay on high alert. That stress response can contribute to muscle tension, tension headaches, neck pain, and tight shoulders.

And here’s what people often overlook: Your stress doesn’t have to feel overwhelming for your body to be responding to it.

You might be getting everything done, meeting every deadline, and keeping everyone else happy while your body is quietly asking for a little attention.

As a holistic chiropractor and acupuncturist, I look at more than where you’re hurting. I want to understand what may be contributing to that pain, including how stress and your nervous system affect your body.

Because managing chronic neck pain and tension headaches shouldn’t mean just pushing through another day.

Does your neck and shoulder tension get worse as the day goes on? Tell me in the comments. I’m curious how many of you experience this.

When was the last time you did absolutely nothing… and didn’t feel guilty about it?

Somewhere along the way, we started treating rest like something we have to earn.

If you’re the person who’s always working, taking care of everyone else, mentally running through tomorrow’s to-do list, or feeling guilty the second you sit down, this one’s for you.

Your nervous system wasn’t designed to stay in go-mode all day.

In Chinese medicine, we talk about the balance between Yin and Yang. Yang is the doing. Yin is the resting, restoring, and simply being.

And most of us? We’ve gotten pretty good at the doing part.

But learning to slow down matters, too. Especially when you’re dealing with chronic stress, burnout, poor sleep, or that constant feeling of being exhausted but unable to relax.

You don’t have to be productive every minute to be making progress.

We’re human beings. Not human doings.

If you’re ready to understand your body better and explore a more balanced approach to wellness, join me inside The Better Health Tribe.

You finally sit down. So why do you feel guilty for being there?

For the moms who are still mentally packing lunches at 10 p.m.

The caregivers who keep listening for someone to need them.

The women who finish work and immediately start their second shift at home.

Being exhausted doesn’t mean you’re lazy. And struggling to relax doesn’t mean you’re doing rest wrong.

If “just relax” worked, you probably would’ve tried that by now.

You deserve room to care for yourself before you’ve taken care of everyone else.

Taking allergy medication every day but STILL dealing with sneezing, sinus pressure, or a constantly stuffy nose?

If you live in Missouri or the Midwest, you probably know exactly what I’m talking about.

Maybe you’re someone who:

🍂 Gets hit with ragweed allergies every fall.

🌳 Dreads spring because tree pollen leaves you sneezing, congested, and exhausted.

🐕 Loves your dog or cat but struggles with pet dander allergies.

🏡 Wakes up congested because of dust mites or indoor allergens.

🌾 Deals with grass pollen allergies every summer.

🤧 Experiences recurring sinus headaches, postnasal drip, itchy eyes, or nasal congestion that never seems to completely disappear.

And maybe you’ve tried Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra, nasal sprays, or other allergy treatments, but you’re still looking for relief.

Here’s something I want you to understand: Allergies involve your immune system, and managing them isn’t always as simple as taking another antihistamine.

I’m Dr. David Trybus, and my approach to holistic health is about looking at the bigger picture.

That means exploring your symptoms, understanding possible triggers, and considering how your overall health may influence how you feel.

Acupuncture and chiropractic care may be part of a broader wellness approach, but they aren’t substitutes for proven allergy treatments. If your medication isn’t controlling your symptoms, an allergist can help identify your triggers and discuss additional options.

Whether you’re struggling with seasonal allergies, year-round allergic rhinitis, or recurring sinus discomfort, learning more about your body is a great place to start.

🌿 That’s why I created The Better Health Tribe, a community where we explore holistic wellness, ask questions, and learn practical ways to support our health.

Because you deserve to understand what’s happening in your body, not just keep guessing.
