FROM RAGS TO RICHES!
The first picture was taken yesterday when I got to the track to start mowing. I thought “ Oh boy, you’ve got your work cut out for you now!” The 2nd and 3rd picture was taken today. I told you earlier the track was coming around nicely. Tommy this looks amazing and I can’t wait to see the racers on it Saturday! FROM RAGS TO RICHES!

If you haven’t gone online ad registered for your classes, you still have plenty of time. But the longer you wait the less chance you have to get in the last qualifying group in your class.

Today is Hump Day (Wednesday) and time to make your final decision of where you want to race Saturday. Why not come to Liberty Raceway where there is 4 classes with GUARANTEED MONEY! Registration is open! Link is below! For reserved parking call or text me at 336-953-2522 or message me here on messenger. Either way will work fine and I will do my very best to set you up with good parking but it is going FAST. Everything looks exceptionally good as for the crowd that has already registered so don’t be left out. Come on and come race at Liberty Raceway and get known as one of the best because you can’t be the best until you beat the best. Liberty Raceway always provides you some of the best drivers!

Out doing what I should be doing today. Being a helping wife and business partner. 😇Today is mowing day. This year allergies are affecting Tommy something fierce and this is an 8 hour job easy. He did try to help out by mowing a little yesterday but found out that was a mistake this morning. I had much rather help him out than for Tommy to feel bad and believe me, an allergy attack can stop you dead in your tracks. Now, everyone’s parking place is all nice and neatly manicured for Saturday. The only place I will not mow and I will leave it for Tommy to do is inside the fence of the track. He motioned me to but I shook my head “NO!”.

Guys, he’s getting the track to looking good. At first, I wondered what in this world. Just letting you know it’s coming around nicely.

In memory of one of kartings finest! I remember when the whole frontstretch fence was powered by Eddie Missue engines at Liberty Raceway Park! Just goes to show you when God calls he’s not messing around.

For over 50 years, Offical Liberty Raceway Park has been a battleground where legends were made, dreams were shattered, champions were crowned, and memories were created that racers still talk about today. Now it's time to add another chapter to that story.

Eddie Mishue proudly carried the #50 and turned countless laps around Liberty Raceway Park. What better way to honor his legacy than by celebrating the Mishue Memorial during Liberty's 50th Anniversary, on the very track where he made so many memories and left his mark on the sport.

This is going to be more than just a race. It's going to be a celebration of a racer, a friend, and a man who left his mark on the sport and on everyone who knew him.

And we're not stopping there...

Tommy Burrow and the crew at Liberty are adding more clay to the track, and Tommy and Terry Odom are teaming up to prepare the racing surface for one goal... to make this event absolutely BADASS!

We're talking about a track that's gonna be RIPPIN. The kind of racing that leaves fans on their feet and racers wanting more.

The full details are coming soon, but for now LOCK IN THE DATE and start making plans. We want racers, fans, family, and friends from all over to pack Liberty Raceway Park and help us celebrate 50 years of racing and the life of Eddie Mishue.

I know you guys are going to get tired of me posting but I’m just trying to look after not only our regular racers but also the ones that don’t come to LRP on a regular basis. To the entries that has come in so far or anyone that plans to come race at Liberty Raceway this weekend, if you don’t have reserved parking and would like to reserve parking for Saturday’s race, just give me a call or text to 336-953-2522 or message me through messenger. While you guys are sitting around, not doing anything, this would be a good time to get your pre-entry in for Saturday’s LRPS race. Remember, group qualify is made in order of receiving your entry. The first in will be in last qualifying group.

Such sad news! As much as Mr Burris did for racing in the past years, it’s only fitting to let the ones that follow us on Facebook know that we lost a wonderful man and supporter of karting. May God comfort the ones in sorrow! Rest now Mike Burris. You have worked for so long and hard with the racing world.

Mike Burris 6-28-41 to 5-30-26

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our father, grandpa and great grandpa. Mike lived a full life and as they say, did it unapologetically his way. He’d tell us that he wouldn’t change a thing. He was very generous and gave to many charities and helped people out that just needed a hand up. Pops loved his family and friends and he especially lit up when the grandkids or great grandkids were with him.

Mike left a lasting mark on many but especially the Karting community that he so loved from the time he was a teenager up until the end.

The world is a better place because of you dad.

Though our hearts ache, you’re no longer in pain. Fly high, race hard and keep the hammer down. You’ll be missed by so many pops……..we love you!

Tommy and I ventured out of our local area and visited B & B Kartway. I wasn’t surprised when we entered the facility as it was trimmed and well manicured. I told Tommy “this is a neat little place”. There was Linda at the scales and of course right beside her was her faithful partner in crime, Randall. Of course Terry and his family were at the gate and they all welcomed us in with open arms. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see Lindsey or her husband Roby. Maybe next time. They all did a good job and I enjoyed myself. I always enjoy be at a race track. Good job guys! Come see us sometime!

Hopefully we will see some of you June 6 at Liberty Raceway for our Liberty Local Point Race where we have 4 classes with guaranteed money. Gates open at 10:00 with practice beginning at 12:00. See you all at the races!
