🇺🇸 4th of July Safety Reminder from the Taylor County Sheriff's Office!

Planning to cruise around this holiday weekend? Remember that the law doesn't take a holiday.

Before you hit the road, please remember:

Golf Carts: To operate a golf cart on the roadway, you must have a valid driver's license and insurance. (No Minors)

Side-by-Sides (SXS): To operate a side-by-side on the roadway, you must have a valid driver's license, insurance, and a registered tag.

ATVs: ATVs are NOT allowed on the road under any circumstances.

If you're under the influence, don't drive. Whether it's a bicycle, golf cart, side-by-side, motorcycle, or a car or truck, operating anything while impaired can result in a DUI arrest.

Celebrate responsibly. Designate a sober driver, call for a ride, or stay where you are if you've been drinking.

And one last friendly reminder... the Judge won't be in until Monday. We'd much rather see you enjoying the holiday with your family than spending the weekend in jail.
