This one is pretty special to me!

This beautiful Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing belongs to a longtime customer who's had faith in me and my work since day one, going all the way back to my Apicella Auto Sound days. When the first production ResoNix GUS subwoofers finally arrived, I couldn't have been happier that he was one of the ones receiving them, especially considering our history.

The installation was handled by our good friends over at Sound Concept Nanuet a shop we've worked closely with for years. The pillars were designed in CAD based on the 3d scans by our very own customer support specialist, Kai. The system features a pair of ResoNix GUS-12 subwoofers, Accuton Automotive 3-way speakers, Mosconi Pro Evo amplifiers, and a Brax DSP. The entire vehicle has also been extensively treated with ResoNix sound treatment materials to create the best possible environment for the system to perform.

And let me tell you, these GUS-12s are doing some absolutely incredible things in this car. In just 1.2 cubic feet of TOTAL sealed enclosure volume for both subwoofers, they're measuring flat all the way down to the lower limit of what my microphone can measure. The amount of low-frequency extension, output, and low-distortion performance we're getting out of such a compact enclosure is genuinely impressive, even knowing exactly what these subwoofers are capable of.

It's extremely rewarding to finally see these products making their way into customers' vehicles after everything that went into developing them. And having one of our longest-standing customers be among the very first to experience them makes this particular installation that much more special.

Big news for ResoNix! CE Outlook just published a feature on the GUS Series, how it came together, and where we’re headed next, which includes a proper dealer network!

We’re looking for higher-end car audio shops that care about doing things right and providing their customers the best end results possible, and want access to the full ResoNix lineup, from sound treatment and GUS subwoofers and anything else we may have coming next ;)

New video is live, and it's an interesting one!

We’re diving into why ultra-low distortion and highly linear suspension can actually create some unexpected and undesired trade-offs in a subwoofer. Obviously this is important for anyone running or considering a GUS, but there’s also a ton of useful subwoofer design and Klippel education in here regardless of what you use.

THE FIRST GUS SUBWOOFERS ARE OFFICIALLY HERE!!!

About 40 GUS subwoofers arrived ahead of the main shipment, and after spending so much time developing, testing, revising, and talking about these things for the past 18 months, it is pretty damn cool to finally see finished production units stacked up in the ResoNix warehouse.

This small batch was air freighted separately from the main shipment so we could get some GUS subwoofers out into the real world a little sooner. Every single one of these has already been allocated to existing preorders and shipped out to specific clients, competitors, and dealers.

So, just to get ahead of the inevitable question, if you did not receive tracking for one of these, please do not panic and please do not email us asking if you can be moved into this batch. There are no additional units from this shipment available.

The overwhelming majority of the first production run is on the main ocean shipment, which is currently expected to arrive in early October. Once that shipment lands, we will be moving through the remaining preorders as quickly as possible.

For now though, GUS is officially here and out in the wild, and after everything that went into this project, it feels pretty damn good to finally be able to say that. Thank you everyone for supporting us over these past months. I really cannot explain how it feels.

The ResoNix GUS Series Subwoofers have officially started production last week. Here is a little update from the factory showing a snippet of the motor assembly :)

Gus himself was carefully monitoring the assembly from afar.

Saying it here as soon as possible so I do not hear from anyone about not being aware.... The 15% off GUS preorder sale ends on July 31st.
Get it while its hot, because the retail price will also be going up soon too, due to raw costs and shipping going up way more than expected.
We are also getting low on certain GUS sku's from what has sold compared to what we ordered, so if you want one, now is the time.
