🔧 HERE'S WHAT GOES INTO OUR CUSTOM LSA BUILDS:
We start with a NEW Factory LSA block ( #12673476) instead of a standard LS3 block.
The LSA block features several advantages for boosted applications:
• ✅ Nodular iron main caps
• ✅ Factory piston oil squirters
• ✅ Reinforced main webs and a robust factory casting
• ✅ Cylinder liners designed for the LSA's factory performance application
These features provide a purpose-built foundation for a supercharged performance engine. 🚀
⚙️ PREMIUM ROTATING ASSEMBLY
We take things a step further with carefully selected aftermarket internals:
• 🔩 Callies Compstar crankshaft – 4340 nitrided steel for enhanced strength and durability
• 🔩 Callies Compstar Xtreme H-beam connecting rods – 4340 alloy steel with ARP 2000 rod bolts
• 🔩 Racetac forged aluminum pistons – Selected for the intended power level and engine combination
These components give us the flexibility to build an engine around the demands of your particular setup, with the appropriate clearances, compression ratio, and supporting modifications.
💨 3.0L INVERTED WHIPPLE SUPERCHARGER
The centerpiece of this combination is a 3.0L inverted Whipple Superchargers supercharger, delivering the airflow potential for big power while maintaining the strong torque that makes a street car fun to drive.
Paired with the right fuel system, intercooling, engine calibration, and supporting components, this setup can deliver an impressive balance of street manners and serious performance. 🏁
🎯 OPTIONAL THROTTLE BODY
Another advantage of our custom-built LSA engine is throttle body flexibility!
Whether your project uses a traditional cable-operated throttle body or a drive-by-wire (DBW) throttle body, we can configure the engine to work with your application.
🔥 Our recommendation? The Nick Williams 103mm DBW throttle body!
This is an excellent option to consider for a high-performance, supercharged combination like our 3.0L inverted Whipple setup. Its 103mm size offers substantial throttle body capacity for high-airflow applications.

🔩 OPTIONAL CONCEPT ONE BILLET SERPENTINE SYSTEM
We can also equip the engine with a billet aluminum serpentine system from Concept One Pulley Systems, featuring a dual-belt arrangement:
• 🔟 10-rib belt dedicated to driving the supercharger
• 8️⃣ 8-rib belt driving the alternator, power steering pump, A/C compressor, and water pump
This arrangement separates the supercharger drive from the accessory drive, providing a dedicated belt system for each job.
