Dear Colleagues, Clients, and Friends,

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Fred Gerling, the Founder and President of Gerling & Associates, Inc.
For over 35 years, Fred was a visionary leader responsible for the production of thousands of mobile facilities, including television trucks and trailers, mobile medical units, and mobile command vehicles. A pioneer in the industry, Fred played a key role in developing the expanding side trailer for remote television broadcasting, a groundbreaking innovation that transformed the field.

Fred founded Gerling & Associates in 1988 with just six employees in a small, rented space. Through his dedication and leadership, the company grew to become the leader in manufacturing broadcast television vehicles across North America and beyond. The Gerling & Associates manufacturing facility in Sunbury, Ohio stands as a testament to Fred’s commitment to excellence, offering full custom fabrication of mobile facilities from the ground up.

Fred took immense pride in building an independently owned, family-run business, a legacy that continues under the leadership of his daughters, CEO, Jennifer Fenton and Director of Sales, Shannon Gerling, along with new Treasurer, BJ Gerling. For over a decade, they have been at the helm of Gerling & Associates, ensuring Fred’s vision endures. His legacy will live on through the company’s exceptional team of fabricators and craftsmen and women, who will continue to deliver custom mobile facilities with the same passion and quality Fred championed.

You know we do a lot of remote television production trucks and trailers for the networks (see those every weekend now for the NFL) but this is a show stopper for announcers and stage performances for the PBR! As you all know we at G&A custom build a lot of different truck systems for many different applications BUT, Remote Broadcast Television is our core business and I thought you may want to see what goes into those trucks to make the pictures we so take for granted into our homes on every sports or remotely produced event. Check out the amount of cable and equipment on this project done about 4 years ago.
