Ok everyone, Happy days to you all.
Many of you have enjoyed the yard sale for many years, and it is something that CAN NOT BE HANDLE by one or two people. There needs to be a committee of many people assisting with the entire program. The program consists of the planning, the advertising, and more importantly the setup and organizing and running during the day to the break down at the end of the day.
As many of you are aware of the fact that Rich ran it for several years before it took its toll on him. The Michelle tried to do it for two years with little to NO help, and it took its toll on her.
So now with all that said for the many of you who have enjoyed the yard sale for so long, don't you think it's time for everyone to help out if you do in fact enjoy doing the yard sale. You have all said, you would like for it to continue, so now it's your turn to make that happen. Form a committee and everyone do there share even on the day of the event with showing the vendors to their spots and assist with the parking of the cars.
You have all said let's keep it going so now's the time to do it.
Kindly send a message to let us know your willing to help, otherwise the great Tappan Yard Sale will die just as the old drive-in flea market of years ago on Route 303.

Due to some unforeseen personal issues, I have to cancel The October 15th Garage Sale! We are hopeful to be able to have a sale in the Spring. Anyone who had given me money for this sale, will receive a refund today. I had reached out to the two people who were willing to help with the sale to see if they wanted to run things, and they too cannot take this on at this time.
What we really need is a larger committee so that in the event one of our members has to step away from assisting, the others can take over and continue to make this event happen. Again folks, I am so sorry to disappoint. I really enjoyed the Spring sale and am hopeful in the future to be able to get this going again!

Thank you for joining the Tappan Yard Sale committee! The type of duties would include Set up, break down, advertising by placing lawn signs and posters up around neighboring towns. Policing the event to ensure we are keeping it clean and safe for our visitors. Parking attendant, marking the field.....

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who took a chance on todays sale! I hope you all went home a little lighter with a pocket full of cash 😊 it was my pleasure to put it all together ! It was fabulous meeting so many wonderful vendors!
I’m really looking forward to our next event . It will be a Harvest themed event . I hopeful to have food music a haunted house and fun activities for the kiddos along with yard sale vendors . The date will be October 15 and possibly the 16th. More details will follow .
