Small update on Lethal… because apparently, she LOVES the drama. 😂

We FINALLY got our hands on the new high-side fuel pump that had been backordered into oblivion! The car was put back together, strapped onto the dyno, and Cordes performance racing got to work knocking off the cobwebs and getting her fueling dialed in.

During a low RPM pull (around 3,500 RPM), Lethal decided to remind everyone who’s really in charge…

And BOOM! 💥

Apparently, she decided she hated her driveshaft. AGAIN.

It looks like the bolts on my DSS chromoly driveshaft let go. Thankfully, the car was only doing about 80 MPH when it happened. The driveshaft loop did its job until it was eventually ripped out, but the transmission crossmember wasn’t so lucky. The good news? The transmission and differential appear to have survived!

Just another chapter in the ongoing saga of “Does This Camaro Actually Hate Me?”

Obviously, another setback, but I’d much rather find these gremlins now than out on the track. Each issue we uncover and fix gets us one step closer to having Lethal back in top shape.

Huge thanks to the crew at Cordes performance racing for their continued patience, hard work, and dedication to getting this stubborn girl sorted out. Truly appreciate you guys!

The comeback continues… just apparently with a few more plot twists than expected.

Any of my followers have a low-mile, unmodified 6th Gen ZL1 they’re thinking about selling?

I’d possibly consider a 5th Gen ZL1 as well, depending on mileage, condition, service history, documentation, and how well it’s been cared for.

I’m not looking to buy until early next year, but I’m officially starting the hunt now. If you have something or know of a clean one, let me know!

6th Gen in Garnet Red is highly desired.
