The weather is starting to cool off and my mobile days are going to come to an and soon. I'm still scheduling availability! Back to back days, I have done 3rd generation (2007-2011) Honda CRV's that had severe headlight oxidation and hazing over. Both of them came out looking like the headlight assemblies had been replaced with new ones. I'll be the first to admit that I'm really good at what I do, but the thought that crossed my mind was if my vehicle had headlights that were this cloudy, I would want them to look new again, too.
I was able to knock each of these out in about an hour and a half from start to finish. Having the right tools and 300+ cars over 5 years worth of experience makes the difference. You won't get clarity anywhere close to this with that $40 kit on the shelf at your local auto parts or big box store. The guys at the AAA auto care center or Walmart auto center that charge $80 are just going to clean the oxidation off and do a quick polish. They'll look good again for about 6 months before they begin to haze over again because they used a cheap clear coat that's now flaking away.
With a full restoration like I do, I sand to get down to good original polycarbonate and remove all the blemishes and scratches, then wet sand it to a 5000 grit finish, followed by polishing with a headlight specific compound, and finished with multiple layers of a self-leveling UV resistant clear coat that fills in all the micro cracks, dries to the touch in 10 minutes while fully curing to a ultra hard coating in 24 hours. The result is a crystal clear headlight that will last for years to come. I fully guarantee clarity for a minimum of 3 years, and will redo them at no cost if my restoration fails before then.
You avoid the high cost of OEM replacement lenses (or even cheaper knockoffs) and the shop fees to install them, plus giving up access to your vehicle to someone else for a day. You'll get to keep the factory original lenses without any disassembly, I come to you when it's convenient for you, and it only takes 2 hours?
I guess the real question is why haven't you scheduled me yet?!
