While it may not get quite as much fanfare as the traditional "Whiskey Plank," the new CY62 is reaching a major milestone. Her first hull planks are being set!

Measuring 62 feet in length with a 19-foot beam and powered by more than 4,000 horsepower, this incredible sportfishing yacht is being designed and built through close collaboration with her owner and experienced tournament crew. The result will be a boat equally at home on the competitive circuit and during extended stays aboard with family and friends.

We're putting the finishing touches on the superstructure design and expect to have finalized renderings to share very soon!

We're also excited to share that we've officially closed on the property next door! While there's still plenty of work ahead, this marks another major milestone for our team, and we're looking forward to sharing more details about the next expansion of the Composite Yacht Global Headquarters very soon!

Friday Shop Shots is particularly special this week as we celebrate 20 years with Paulo San Juan at Composite Yacht.

Paulo and his wonderful bride are the very definition of the American Dream. They arrived from the Philippines as newlyweds with little more than determination, incredible talent, quick wit, and a relentless drive to build a better future.

Today, she is an accomplished nurse, and Paulo has become an absolute cornerstone of Composite Yacht. Welding, fiberglass, fabrication, playing music, keeping the crew laughing and on their toes - there’s truly nothing he can’t do. Along the way, they’ve also raised three remarkable boys, and we’re proud to call all of them part of our family.

This isn’t just a congratulations post. It’s a heartfelt thank you.

Thank you, Paulo, for the dedication, craftsmanship, and passion you bring every single day. Our boats are better because of you, and so are we. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your incredible journey.

Posting a rocket ship for Star Wars Day!

The CY55 is an all carbon and Kevlar, E-ticket ride packing 4,000 horsepower under the hood. Built to push the limits, her mission was clear: explore the upper realm of speed for a fully functional, straight inboard diesel sportfishing day boat.

Fully loaded at nearly 45,000 lbs, she leaves the launch pad and clears 45 MPH in just 13 seconds. At 80% load cruising altitude, she’s still flying—delivering highway speeds of 57 MPH.

This isn’t just performance. It’s precision engineering, advanced composites, and real-world fishability—at warp speed.

This 62’ sportfishing platform represents the next evolution for Composite Yacht; bringing our wood-free construction philosophy into the offshore Convertible world.
