Does your trawler have Garmin electronics aboard? Here’s a video from TQC getting the inside scoop on operations at Garmin’s headquarters. Though there is a bit on aviation in here, they also feature the Marine side of things including software update schedules, product testing and diagnostics, and a brief discussion on safety with the Garmin inReach in the marine environment. Having personally done some troubleshooting, repairs and calibration with Garmin equipment in the fleet, I’m happy to share that my experience with Garmin tech support as well as the availability of PDF manuals from 10 year old equipment was excellent. Looking forward to many more useful years of service, even with gear a decade or more old.
