Pine & Mingo Construction Update — Our Businesses Need Your Help
We want to continue sharing what is happening to the small businesses along Pine Street and Mingo Road with road closures along Pine St between SH-11 & Mingo Rd as well as between Hwy 169 & Mingo Rd.
We have been trying our best to communicate with City of Tulsa, OK Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Becco Contractors, who is involved with the road construction project in this area. We understand that this important road and bridge work needs to be completed safely but we NEED passage through Pine St from these two major highways.
However, the current traffic configuration continues to have a severe impact on local businesses, including:
• Batman’s Good Food & Convenience Store
• Christy’s BBQ
• Hero’s Subs & Burgers
• Daylight Donuts
• Greenway Dispensary
• Family Dollar
Batman’s has experienced approximately a 70% decline in business, while other nearby businesses have reported losses of approximately 70–80%.
Our message remains simple:
✅ We support the construction.
✅ We support worker safety.
✅ We support improving our roads and bridges.
But we also need safe and meaningful access to our businesses while the work continues.
Our customers, employees, families, and neighboring businesses should not have to choose between completing this important project and keeping local businesses accessible.
We are asking the City of Tulsa and ODOT to continue working with the contractor and affected businesses to find a practical traffic-control solution.
