A tire can have tread remaining and still have a serious defect.

The federal tire rule prohibits operation with exposed ply or belt material, tread or sidewall separation, a flat tire, or an audible leak. Tread depth alone does not settle whether a tire is fit for service.

If you notice a concern, report the affected wheel position and what you observed from a safe location. Don't enter traffic or crawl under equipment to get a photo.

A truck that won't start has terrible timing. Apparently, it didn't read the dispatch schedule.

When you call for service, tell us what you already observed: whether the engine cranked, you heard clicking, or nothing happened. Note any dash messages, when the truck last ran, and recent work. Don't perform extra tests just to gather information.

A phone description helps prepare the conversation; it does not replace an inspection or confirm which part failed.

NTP/P2K Certified Warranty Repair Shop!

We recently had a customer come in with a NTP/P2K Warranty. They had a miss in their engine. The injector was throwing a code, tested bad, and it was approved to replace.
After a lash adjustment, the truck ran smoothly, but that didn't fix the real issue. It fixed the symptom.
While replacing the injector, our tech noticed some indicators that this wasn't the real issue.
We removed the injector and scoped the #6 cylinder and saw that the intake valve seat was damaged.
We took borescope pics and got approval to remove and replace the head.
Pulled the head and sure enough, the seat was dropping and there were three others that showed similar signs of failure.

It's important that you find a shop that will go the extra mile for you. If you have one like that right now, treasure it and keep it.
