The first race weekend of the season is done with and it was a doozy! Thompson Speedway in CT, 41 degrees F, 20 mph winds w/ 40mph gusts, and plenty of rain made it treacherous out there. ran the Yamaha 350 mongrel and promptly crashed it in the wet on Saturday. opted not to ride his CB350 and instead made his debut as a sidecar co-pilot. Sunday the Yamaha struggled with dropping a cylinder as a result of the crash and we couldn't get it sorted in time, but Sayre still managed two second places and a very fun battle against a Moto Guzzi while running on the one good cylinder, taking it to a photo finish at the line. Racing is always fun even when it's not going well!
We brought a display of race tires and sold several sets. We are loving introducing so many new people to this bespoke and special racing tire.
We're back at it June 12-14 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the kickoff of , so come watch!
