Cheap parts can be REALLY expensive! That's why we always prioritize quality over cost. Here, a customer installed new inferior stand pipes. PIctured is one OE unit next to the poorly made, and damaged one. They were machined slightly oversized just above the base O ring. The seal in one side failed within a couple months, and when we went to replace them, both sides were wedged into the branch tube so tightly that the cab had to be removed to gain sufficient access to remove them without more damage.

Reliable power you can use is KING for daily drivers, especially ones that tow. Any of these parts are awesome by themselves, but together, they're even better. Here is 700+ horsepower of "I don't have to let off" except for the speed limit because the Maryland Performance Products compound turbo kit feeding a KC Turbos VGT keeps the EGT's cooler than stock levels, and the WP Developments "1000+" transmission is putting all the power down without worry. For that extra peace of mind, and increased fueling capability, it's rounded out with an S&S Diesel Motorsport DCR injection pump, and a handful of other goodies.

Running bigger tires, and thinking about a re-gear? You should! In this example, the speedometer still needs to be corrected, but the gps verified speed is 80 and 85 mph in each of the pictures. It’s a 2022 F350 on 37” tires and 4.30 gears. With factory 3.31’s, the truck rarely went above 7th gear at freeway speeds while towing. (10th gear is 1500 rpms at 80 mph) Even at 98 mph, the truck is only turning 2500 rpms. With the new gear reduction, way less load is put on the transmission. Starts from a stop require noticeably less effort as well.

While this example is with the 10 speed transmission with a 0.63:1 final gear ratio, similar results are had with the older 6 speed with a 0.67:1 final gear. 37’s and 2095 rpms puts you at 80 mph. 2224 rpms gets you 85 mph, and 2500 rpms, which we consider to be the high side of comfortable cruising rpms will still get you 95 mph.

Love 'em or hate 'em, you'll definitely recognize our trucks coming down the road. Here's some before and after pics of the color matching we just did on our errand truck lovingly named Ro Joe. Side note: the '23+ rear bumper steps sure come in handy. Definitely an upgrade worth considering on an older alumiduty.

For higher power builds, or maybe you just need that extra peace of mind, we weld the crankshaft gear on these 6.7 L Power Strokes to keep the press-fit gear from slipping.

While it’s not a big concern for sub 600 hp trucks, if you’re planning to get aggressive with the power, it’s cheaper in the long run to get it welded before it slips, and the price goes up exponentially.

Here's a fun little reminder of the wisdom in pulling over and stopping when your engine starts making banging noises and smoke. It could just need a new fuel injector if you stop now. It could also need a completely new engine if you ignore it. Many of the times we have to replace an engine, the problem would have been drastically mitigated if the driver just stopped when the problem was first observed.
