In the summer of 1969, Jack and Doris Dimond (pronounced Diamond) purchased what was then Tyler Lincoln Mercury in Tyler, Texas. Legend has it that it was Doris who came up with the name Jack O’ Diamonds, a clever twist on Jack’s name using a playing card theme.
