STUFF NOBODY TOLD YOU ABOUT DIESEL TRUCK TURBOS…

Not all turbo setups are built for the same purpose.

One of the biggest debates in the diesel world is:
VGT Turbo vs Non-VGT Turbo.

But what most people DON’T realize is…
Neither one is “better.”
It depends on HOW you use your truck.

A VGT (Variable Geometry Turbo) uses adjustable vanes inside the turbocharger to change airflow depending on RPM and load. That means faster spool-up, better low-end response, smoother towing performance, and improved drivability around town.

That’s why most newer diesel trucks came factory-equipped with VGT turbos.

A properly functioning VGT turbo is hard to beat.

Companies like KC Turbos and BorgWarner have shown how modern VGT technology helps improve spool time, throttle response, efficiency, and power delivery across the RPM range. Even though today didn’t go how we wanted we learned a lot of what we need to fix! Why they call it test n tune 😂 Still for only 2 runs we’re excited what it may do at UCC. Hubbard handled it like a beast and we may turn some heads at next week! Thank you for driving 14 hours to help us out today with tuning. The precistance to figure out the tcm issue is well respected. Race week starts tmrw!

Finally after a few months of late nights and hard work. Almost giving up numerous times, the Fast 72 drag truck is finally done. After months ago being a bone stock truck to completely gutted drag truck is definitely an achievement. Going down to island dragway to test it out! Shout out to for putting in those extra hours to help get this done! Also thank you to for traveling 14 hours one way to meet us at the strip tmrw to tune it in person and for being the test dummy on this bad boy! Thanks to all our sponsors over this last few months! Couldn’t have done it without you all!!

Stuff Nobody Told You…

Not all lift kits are created equal.
