This horse is famous...to our ranch and darn near our community at this point. Truly a one in a million horse. Belgian/Quarter Horse cross, buckskin coat that dapples out nicely, only 7 years old and standing 17HH. She's the cornerstone of one of the largest trail riding and lesson programs in the area here at Palomino Pines. For the last two years she has been our "go to" and has been working full time and year round with tourism, children and camps.
She has been there and done that...twice...maybe three times. Walk, trot and lope with no issues. Confirmation 10/10. Never been lame a day in her life. Easiest catch on the ranch. Up to date on everything. Trailers easy. Beyond broke for trails and children and more. Her build would allow her to drive easily and would allow even the largest of riders enjoy her. Her experience level at this age gives her limitless potential.
The ONLY reason we are listing this horse for sale is because when she is in heat the geldings tend to pay more attention to Willow than their jobs. This is ONLY an issue if you ride trails with nothing but geldings, with up to 8 complete and total beginner riders at once, while she is actively in heat and it is a hot summer day. If you don't experience ALL those variables at once...she is perfect. So this is a tourist/trail riding decision. Her best friend and sibling is a gelding. She was the only mare with 18 other geldings 24/7 with zero issues. No one ever fell in love, no bite marks, no one threw kicks and no one pawed at the gates when she left. She knows how to be with the boys and does it very well. Furthest thing from "mareish" and that is why she was used for our tourism the last two years. Yet, it has proven time to go with all geldings as we accept younger riders on our trails. We need the horses to pay attention to the beginner riders on their backs and not the tall glass of buckskin water walking in front of them, if you catch my drift.
Anyone would be lucky to have this horse. I care about her well being and will care about where she goes. She deserves the best.
