This is the saddest news we have had in a long time. Learning of Kyle’s passing is a gut punch. Like many in our community I met him at the inaugural Drag Week in ‘05 and he was there documenting the beginning of what has become such a big thing in our sport of drag racing.

He played the crucial role of exposing the first and most notorious cheater in Drag Week history which set the tone for how the event would be run and its legitimacy to this day. I bought all the DVD’s back when that was a thing.

He made all our lives better and brighter with the exposure he brought.

Quick video of the engine and our ‘64 Fairlane ProStreet style Thunderbolt clone called ProBolt. The engine was built based on a series by David Freiberger in Car Craft with a 454 BBC and a carb in a hat Vortech setup. We adapted the ideas to the BBF using a Vortech BBC kit. It originally had a Demon carb in a box and we swapped that to the Fitech in 2018.
