We love to ride and ride often!! We normally schedule and host over 20 rides annually. Greetings from Covenant Riders! As a motorcycle ministry, we reach out to the motorcycle community with an invitation to participate in our events. We are not a church and do not represent competition to any established church – We provide an outlet to ride with fellow Christians. We are not a club and do not represent competition to existing motorcycle clubs. Participation is non-exclusive and open to all types of bikes. Additionally, we are family friendly and invite the families to join us at our events and rides. We represent safe, fun, fellowship with other bikers. Covenant Riders hosts over 20 rides annually, including charity and patriotic rides and overnight trips. Check out our upcoming and past events to get a better idea of our mission and outreach. Covenant Riders is the Covenant Chapter of Fellowship of Christian Riders. We are a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who share a passion for Christ and are sponsored by Covenant United Methodist Church in La Grange, KY. We meet regularly to ride and to discuss concerns within our community. Participation with Covenant Riders is open to all types of bikes and religious beliefs, regardless of specific church affiliation. Our ministry incorporates (4) general areas:
1. Serving: Search for ways we can lovingly serve those whom God has placed in our hearts and in our paths. This is on-going based on what is presented individually and collectively. Examples are our fundraising efforts for Blessings in a Backpack, assisting with the Ride for the Promise, and helping our friends and families in times of need.
2. Community: Develop relationships with those we have met and gathered, and help them develop relationships with each other over time. We do this each time we meet-up to ride, host an event, conduct a safety course, or simply attend a bike night with other riders.
3. Discipleship: Intentionally seize opportunities to share faith and encourage those who respond to God's grace. We will discuss our faith and provide witness to those seeking further guidance. This includes introduction to the “Christian community” of individuals and churches.
4. Social: Enjoy time together on and off our bikes with our families and friends. We love to ride and ride often. All our events are family-friendly and we encourage family participation. The Fellowship of Christian Riders (FCR) is an organization of men and women who share a love of motorcycling and a love of Christ. While each chapter is affiliated with a host congregation, we are an organization that is open to anyone who shares our love of God and our love of using our motorcycles as instruments to demonstrate His love, regardless of their specific church affiliation or the lack thereof. For more information on starting a new Chapter contact Covenant Riders or www.fcr-mm.org. Participation with Covenant Riders is open to all types of bikes and religious beliefs. Cruising.
