Matthews Subaru is providing the love and support every pet deserves.
At Matthews Subaru, we believe all pets deserve loving homes. The ASPCA reports that 5.8 million dogs and cats entered shelters and rescues in 2025, where many live day after day waiting for the love of a family or a home.
Through the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, we are committed to improving the lives of shelter pets, including older and disabled animals that are often overlooked, whom we lovingly call the "Underdogs."
This October, we are providing direct funding to The Broome County Humane Society & Relief Association through a grant administered by the ASPCA to help cover costs for preparing animals for adoption, veterinary expenses, and more.
Some dates to note:
10/13: FREE rabies and distemper vaccination clinic for dogs and cats on October 13 from 5:30–7:00 at the Broome County Humane Society
10/20 - 10/24: The Humane Society will be offering reduced adoption fees for cats and dogs
10/22: The 8th Annual National Make A Dog's Day, a day created by Subaru to encourage all dog lovers across the country to do something special for their pets. This year, we are asking people to consider welcoming an "Underdog" into their home and hearts as a life-changing way to make a difference.
Pets make the world a better place. Subaru and retailers like us are proud to help make the world a better place for them, with over $75 million donated to national and local pet-focused organizations, supporting the adoption, rescue, transport, and health of over 900,000 animals.
