Small rust repair done well. These California cars don’t rust that much but sometimes the water sits on the pan during our couple of rain storms per year and after a lifetime we get pin holes - not cancer but small rust spots. Having a good metal guy on your side saves time, I can do this work myself by my guy Joe does it in 1/3 the time. Next we do a full pan replacement on a different car.

Quick service to keep this survivor 73 911E going for a while longer. It’s nice to see a regularly driven well taken care of early 911. It’s not a show queen but it’s also not an improperly restored car full of gremlins. You could say it’s just right, with 170,000 original miles, same owner since 87 it still drives really well. But you have to keep an eye out for little issues that could get worse - that’s why it’s important to have a guy that knows what to look for - of course easier said than done.

Matching white 356s on the road together. It’s such a rare sight these days but I think the change in scenery makes the general public smile. Who doesn’t like looking at these cars - they are so different from anything else on the road nowadays.

1967 is the best year 912 in my opinion and this particular Slate Grey with Red interior 912 is a super car level 912 I built back in 2018. 155hp dynoed engine, limited slip 5spd, big brakes and recaro sports seats. It’s on BAT with 3hrs to go and it’s at $78k right now. Let’s see what it does and I’ll report back on the final price. I am not affiliated with the seller but I love it when my work gets the recognition it deserves. Easy auction for me to watch because my money is not on the line 😆 Anyway please go make a comment if you’ve been following me for a while - you know my works is good 😊

Mechanical, analog fuel injection issues. Nagging problems with this 930 was an occasional hot start problem that kept getting worse. Now we fix it with a new fuel accumulator which acts like a mechanical capacitor to keep pressure in the fuel system. What happens is after you shut the engine off the heat boils back into the fuel lines which causes v***r lock. The constant pressure exerted on the supply lines by the accumulator eliminates the v***r lock. The pressure will slowly dissipate out of the system but by the time that happens the engine is cool again and fires up with no problems.

When you are stuck in a parking lot and the car won’t start you feel helpless. Once you know what’s happening it’s a simple part to change out.

Don’s amazing 1952 Porsche 356 pre A. When it comes to super early Porsche this information is sparse and hard to find. 1950-1952 cars are so rare I can count on 2 hands how many I have seen in my lifetime. This car is so correct and right, I’m not an expert on early 356 but it just feels right in every way. Older is definitely cooler when it comes to all VWs and 356s.
