Considering a winter "project car?" Before you pull the trigger on a vehicle here is some great advice from our friends at Hagerty.

You can't eliminate every risk when shopping for a vintage car, but a little preparation and critical thinking stack the deck in your favor.

I feel the need . . .

After years of flying the U-2 and SR-71 in the Air Force, Tony Bevacqua got his kicks going fast on the ground in Corvettes.

What an amazing car! Great to see some American classics winning these events!!

One of two built, an ex-Clark Gable Duesenberg SSJ took top honors at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Love these suggestions of fun places to go for a drive. What's on your "favorites" list??

Even if winter in your state doesn't force your special car (or cars) into seasonal storage, fall is an ideal time to plan for next summer.

This mornings LCI adventure… We had some rain yesterday afternoon so “Bilbo’s” top was good and wet this morning.

I took it off and set it on some chairs on the dock to dry. Our camp boat gets heavy use over the summers; we do our best to keep up on it!

Had to run to town for a new tire and some fuel for Bilbo. It’s always great to see “Boss” at Mertaugh’s. It’s also fun to see what he Coles are hanging out around the Hessel marina, like this Jeepster and Chevrolet Suburban Estate.

We rolled into Pickford to check out Earls Coins and Antiques. Always fun things to see there.

Here’s a few more pics: new tire, C5, dog driver…
Lunch at The Islander Bar then a few more stops before we head back to camp 😀

How’s your day been?

Always fun when my wife points out vehicles that she likes; check out this classic Jeep Grand Wagoneer!! Also fun that there was a newer Gladiator behind it.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven by an old car parked in the woods and wondered “how hard would that be to restore?“

How about you? Do you have similar thoughts or does reality set in…?

We're dreamers here, so you can bet your bottom Bur Oak we've thought about what it would be like to save a car from the woods.
