A Warmer Welcome to than the Weather Offered๐ก
So...we got a โ๏ธ from Grand Coulee, WA and then from Russellville, AL, regarding these two bridge crane girders needing to be before heading any further down the highway.
We had the opportunity to lend a hand to get them covered--due to time constraints we tarped them--and on their way to Grand Coulee, WA. The girders are manufactured by G&G Steel Inc. of Russellville, AL and were delivered to BCI Construction USA, Inc., at the US Bureau of Reclamation, Grand Coulee, WA, site.
We are grateful to have had the opportunity to help out; we weren't the only ones involved in extending a warm welcome to North Dakota. T.R.S. Industries had the log tarps and straps necessary to complete the rush job. We arrived earlier than operations normally allows but got taken care of with everything we needed; thanks to everyone at T.R.S.!
We also made contact with Labor Masters to secure additional hands to help get the shipment back on the road ASAP. Everyone there was very helpful, especially Ian, who was a great help in securing two additional workers on very, very short notice; Hats off to everyone at Labor Masters!
And last but not least, Carson at the Red River Valley Fair grounds provided the necessary indoor heated space--much needed on the -22 degree ND winter day--in just a matter of minutes and a little paperwork. We were prepared to do this outside but we sure were glad when we got word that we had an indoor space where we could get 'er done; thanks Carson and everyone at the Red River Valley Fair grounds, the facility was perfect!
I'm happy to say that we had the units wrapped up by 5:30PM and on the road the next morning at first light. Thanks BCI Construction and G&G Steel, for thinking of us and giving us a call, and for everyone who had a hand in getting this project successfully completed. I figure it was our way of saying "Welcome to North Dakota!"
At Captain Shrink Wrap, "We've Got You Covered!"
