🔥 Honda VFR400 NC30 Overview 🔥
DM Moto2 Imports for full pics/video & purchase details.

Few motorcycles capture the magic of the Japanese sportbike market's golden age better than the VFR400 "NC30". Produced in the early 1990s, the NC30 was effectively a scaled-down version of Honda’s legendary RC30 superbike, bringing many of the same engineering principles and race-inspired design features to a more compact package.

Power comes from Honda's distinctive gear-driven cam V4 engine, a configuration that delivers a unique combination of smooth power delivery, mechanical character, and one of the most recognizable exhaust notes of any sportbike. Paired with a lightweight aluminum frame, single-sided swingarm, and styling influenced by Honda's endurance racing efforts, the result was a motorcycle that felt far more exotic than its 400cc displacement might suggest.

Rather than relying on outright horsepower, the NC30 built its reputation through balance and precision. Its compact size, confidence-inspiring chassis, and broad V4 powerband made it equally enjoyable on winding roads and racetracks, earning a devoted following that has only grown over time.

More than thirty years after its introduction, the VFR400 NC30 remains one of the most celebrated Japanese sportbikes ever produced - a lasting reminder of an era when manufacturers spared no expense in developing small-displacement performance machines.

This example shown here is available at next week's Tokyo Motorcycle Auction and available for US import/sale via Moto2 Imports. Auction Tuesday night (6/23).

Yamaha TZR250 "3XV" Overview

The Yamaha TZR250 "3XV" represents the peak of Yamaha’s 250cc two-stroke sportbike development - a machine built with clear DNA from Grand Prix racing rather than conventional street design.

Introduced as part of the third-generation TZR lineup (1991–1995), the 3XV marked a major engineering shift. Yamaha moved away from the parallel-twin and reverse-cylinder layouts of earlier models and adopted a compact 90° V-twin two-stroke configuration. The new engine improved primary balance, reduced vibration, and allowed for a narrower chassis, all of which translated directly into sharper handling.

The engine architecture itself was heavily influenced by Yamaha’s MotoGP efforts, particularly the TZ250 and YZR250 programs. Features like the Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS) and a cassette-style gearbox reinforced its race-bred intent, making the bike far more than a typical road-going 250. Although restricted to 45hp in stock format by Japanese law, 70hp was possible via tuning and race kits.
Chassis design is where the 3XV really separates itself. The aluminum Deltabox frame—derived directly from Yamaha’s racing machines—provided exceptional rigidity while keeping weight extremely low. At roughly 126 kg (279 lbs) dry, the TZR250 was one of the lightest bikes in its class.

Suspension duties were handled by Kayaba upside-down forks up front, paired with a rising-rate rear shock, giving the bike precise, confidence-inspiring feedback. Combined with its compact geometry and low mass, the result is handling that closely mirrors the feel of a true GP machine - quick to turn, stable at lean, and incredibly communicative.

The "3XV" was produced in four different trim levels:

TZR250 R – The base model, equipped with a wet clutch and smaller carburetors, designed for balanced street use.

TZR250 RS – . Early RS models received a dry clutch, while later RS models also got fully adjustable suspension. Limited production model (1,000 units per year).

TZR250 SP – Limited production mode9The homologation-inspired version, featuring larger 32mm carbs, close-ratio gearbox, fully adjustable suspension, and limited production numbers. Very limited production model (500 units per year).

TZR250 SPR – Final evolution of the platform, adding Yamaha’s triple YPVS system for more precise exhaust control and improved power delivery, along with refined engine tuning and chassis updates for maximum track performance. The rarest of all TZRs - just 500 total production units.

Today, the TZR250 3XV is widely regarded as one of the most advanced and desirable 250cc two-stroke sportbikes ever produced - a machine that perfectly captures the era when manufacturers blurred the line between road bikes and race bikes.

The TZR shown here is a very clean, top of the line "SPR" model and is coming up for auction in Japan tonight (6/16). Moto2 Imports can purchase and import this bike to the US for interested buyers.

Suzuki RGV250 Two-Stroke For Sale
DM us for full pics/video/details

The most track focused of the two-stoke 250s, the Suzuki RGV250 VJ22 represented the peak of an era when manufacturers were pushing lightweight performance and Grand Prix-inspired engineering to the limit.

Powered by Suzuki's race-bred V-twin engine and wrapped in a lightweight aluminum chassis, the VJ22 earned a reputation for being one of the most aggressive and exciting 250cc sportbikes of the 1990s. Sharp handling, explosive power delivery, and unmistakable two-stroke character made it a favorite among riders who valued involvement over outright convenience.

The RGV featured here is coming up for sale at next week's Tokyo Motorcycle Auction and available for US import/sale through Moto2 Imports

Featuring sleek aftermarket bodywork from TYGA Performance, gorgeous paint work, and upgraded componentry, this bike will turn heads everywhere.

🔥 1989 Kawasaki ZXR750 H1 🔥
DM us for full pics/video & purchase details.

Before superbikes became loaded with electronics and rider aids, there was the Kawasaki ZXR750.

Introduced at the height of Japan's superbike arms race, the ZXR750 was Kawasaki's no-compromise answer to Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki in the battle for World Superbike supremacy. With its distinctive twin ram-air intake ducts, lightweight aluminum chassis, and high-revving inline-four, the ZXR looked and felt like a racebike for the street.

More than three decades later, early H-model ZXR750s have become increasingly difficult to find, particularly in clean, original condition.

This '89 H1 is coming up at next week's Tokyo Motorcycle Auction (Tuesday 6/17) and available for US import/sale through Moto2 Imports.

Honda CBR250RR MC22 "Fireblade" Overview

Few motorcycles better represent the golden era of Japanese engineering than the Honda CBR250RR MC22.

Produced from 1990 to 1994, the MC22 was Honda's answer to the fierce 250cc sportbike competition of the era. While rivals focused on two-stroke performance and race-replica aggression, Honda took a different approach - creating a motorcycle defined by refinement, precision, and an obsession with engineering detail.

At the heart of the bike sits a 249cc inline-four engine that remains legendary today. Featuring gear-driven cams and an astonishing 19,000rpm redline, the MC22 produced one of the most distinctive sounds of any production motorcycle. The combination of mechanical whine, screaming induction noise, and seamless power delivery created an experience unlike anything sold today.

Officially limited to 45 horsepower under Japanese regulations, the engine rewarded riders who explored the upper reaches of the tachometer. For the final 1994 model year, output was reduced to 40 horsepower and the redline lowered to 18,000rpm to comply with new regulations, while revised tuning improved mid-range performance and everyday rideability.

The chassis reflected Honda's philosophy of balance over brute force. A lightweight aluminum frame, low overall weight, and well-sorted suspension gave the MC22 handling that was predictable, confidence-inspiring, and remarkably composed. While some competitors felt demanding, the CBR250RR managed to be both approachable and genuinely capable.

More than thirty years later, the MC22 remains one of the most sought-after Japanese sportbikes ever produced. Not because it was the fastest or most powerful, but because it delivered a level of refinement, engineering sophistication, and rider engagement that few motorcycles, regardless of displacement, have ever matched.
