Washington, I've got a question for you.

When's the last time you actually looked at your headlights?

Not when they're turned on. I mean when you're standing in front of your vehicle.

Are they clear? Or do they have that lovely yellow, cloudy look that Missouri seems to give every vehicle eventually?

Here's something a lot of folks don't realize.

You might not need new headlights. You might just need your old ones restored.

That's one of the things we do here at Dapper Detailing Co.

We work that oxidation and haze off the lenses, polish them to bring back their clarity, and apply protection to help keep the sun from turning them yellow again.

And there's actually a pretty good reason to do it besides making your car look ten years younger.

We had this Chevy Cruze in the shop for our Wash, Clay & Seal, and I figured it'd be a good opportunity to show y'all what a little extra attention can do for your everyday driver.

**Three wheels, a whole lot of chrome, and about 400 little places for dirt to hide. šŸ˜‚**

If you ride a motorcycle or trike, you know exactly what I'm talking about!

We had the pleasure of getting Mr. Robert's beautiful trike ceramic coated this weekend, and I had to share this one with y'all!

Here's something I want more folks to know.

šŸ“ Where's Jake Wednesday?

This week, Jake stopped by Dapper Detailing Co. as we continue highlighting the local businesses and people that make Washington such a great place to live and work.

When was the last time your vehicle, your home, or your business actually felt clean? Most of us don't notice how much road grime, mildew, and buildup collects over time ā€” until it's gone. That's what Collin and the team at Dapper Detailing Co. do: expert automotive detailing and professional pressure washing for both residential and commercial clients.

After seven years of working one-on-one with folks around here, Dapper Detailing recently opened a brand-new brick-and-mortar location right here in Washington. They handle cars, trucks, SUVs, bikes, boats, and fleets, plus driveways, patios, siding, storefronts, and building exteriors ā€” everything from routine upkeep to full transformations.

What stood out to us was how personal the community side of this business is for Collin. He grew up in a military family, and he shapes much of his community work around honoring his grandfather's service. Though he wasn't able to serve himself, he dedicates a lot of his time to supporting veterans and active-duty members.

You've probably seen him out around town, too ā€” at local Blue Jay events and the Biker Night events hosted by neighborhood establishments. Cement belongs on driveways.

Not on your paint.

Shelby brought us his GMC Sierra SLE Z71 2500 with cement overspray stuck all over it, and this was not one of those ā€œhit it with soap and hopeā€ situations.

A normal wash was not going to fix it.

So we got to work.

Wash.
Clay.
Seal.
Interior cleaned up.
Paint brought back.
Truck feeling right again.

When Shelby picked it up, he said it looked better inside and out than the day he bought it.

That is the stuff we love hearing.

Because at the end of the day, it is not just about a clean truck. It is about taking something you worked hard for and making it feel like it matters again.

Today we got to clean up the interior on Mr. Aldoā€™s manual black Fiat 500 from Aldoā€™s Pizza here in town.

And honestly, this is the kind of job I like.
