Each year, the Robbie Roberson “Built Ford Tough” Student Award is given to a student who demonstrates exceptional dedication to agricultural education, leadership, and hands on learning through their Supervised Agricultural Experience. The award reflects the values that have shaped Robbie Roberson’s lifelong support of 4H and FFA: hard work, character, resilience, and a commitment to building a strong future. This year, the quality of applications was so outstanding that Mr. Roberson made a special decision. Instead of awarding one scholarship, he chose to award two—each in the amount of $2,500.
Robbie Roberson Ford salutes the students who are preparing themselves for a solid future. Just like the trucks that are “Built Ford Tough” and made to last, we know that today’s FFA and 4H members are developing the confidence, courage, and optimism to face life’s challenges head on. It is our privilege to recognize students who have honed their skills through agricultural projects and who embody the spirit of leadership and perseverance.
Our first recipient is Jose Gomez, a student whose leadership and work ethic have made a lasting impact on Ware County FFA. Jose currently serves as a Georgia FFA State Officer and is the Ware County High School FFA President. He is the State Winner in the Agricultural Education Career Development Event, and he has built an impressive Supervised Agricultural Experience raising and exhibiting swine and sheep. Jose also earned top honors as the High Individual in Area Livestock Judging. Jose’s record reflects a student who leads from the front—someone who invests in others, represents his chapter with excellence, and models the very best of agricultural education.
Our second recipient is Cora Crews, a student whose achievements in the cattle industry and agribusiness have earned statewide recognition. Cora serves as the Georgia Junior Cattlemen’s Association State President. She is the State STAR in Agribusiness, one of the highest honors an FFA member can receive. She is also a State Proficiency Finalist in Diversified Agriculture. This year, she captured the title of 12th Grade Cattle Showmanship Winner at both the Georgia National Fair and the State Livestock Show.
Cora’s accomplishments reflect a deep commitment to the livestock industry, strong business skills, and a passion for advancing Georgia agriculture.
Congratulations to both of these outstanding young leaders. Your hard work, integrity, and dedication to agriculture make us proud, and we look forward to the impact you will continue to make in the years ahead.
