I am so thankful I got to sit down with Anita and capture her story in her own voice. Godspeed, Anita Strasburg, the land speed family lost a legend.

Anita grew up in Oklahoma and Texas watching drag racing with her dad, Don Pulliman. In the early 2000s she started racing herself in an ‘86 Chevy truck in Super Pro moved to altereds, then to dragsters at 212 MPH. She won back-to-back championships in the Midwest Drag Racing Series.

Her first trip to Bonneville was in 2012, and she was hooked. She earned her unlimited license in 2019. In 2021 she drove the Strasburg family’s B/FL to 361 MPH and joined the 300 MPH Chapter of the 200 MPH Club.

Life is so short. I am so glad I recorded Anita’s episode of Land Speed Legends in 2023. This is exactly why I do this.

Anita was truly a legend, and her land speed story will always be remembered. Our love and prayers are with the entire Strasburg and Pulliman family.

Who better to have speak at our Holiday & Awards Banquet during our 50th year than one of our founding fathers and our 1st President Larry Volk?! Larry has done so much for our sport from racing to advocating he’s a well of knowledge and has all the best stories because of it.

Godspeed Anita 💔🙏🏼

We are heartbroken to share that Anita Strasburg passed away. Anita joined the club in 2021 with a record speed of 361.201 and later updated her speed to 375.859
