Here is the next victim
It’s a Carter Thermoquad
This was Carters answer to Rochesters Quadrajet.
The base and the top were aluminum the body was some type of plastic , the boosters , accelerator pump , needle , seats and floats were mounted in the top.
They were a carb or the future for sure.
They came in three sizes 800,850 , 1000 cfm.

Customers be ware
This carb was bought and told the car ran fine when he pulled it off.
Haha big joke , this is the rear jet block that also didn’t have a float in it.
Is it rebuildable
Absolutely but never ran on the engine lately

Carter Thermoquad
They are half aluminum half plastic of a form of plastic .
They are very unique carbs
I will post as it comes apart .
Mopar and Buick used them in the seventies and when setup properly they were awesome.

It’s carb has taken a while since the customer wanted to have zinc plating done on the linkage and I don’t zinc plate but there all together.
They are Carter WCFB for a fifties Corvette restoration.
Next week more Holley 94 carbs
And recurving a eight lobe small block Mallory distributor
