Before playlists, Bluetooth, and satellite radio… listening to music in your car took some commitment.
In 1922, Chevrolet experimented with a massive Westinghouse radio setup that required a roof antenna and cost about $200 extra—a huge price tag back then.
It didn’t exactly catch on.
By 1929, things got a lot more practical, thanks to early commercially successful radios like the Motorola, helping turn road trips into singalongs.
