From Baja-style speed to deep into the forest. 🌲💨

The Defender OCTA feels just as at home attacking fast, rough terrain as it does crawling through the technical trails at the Eastnor Defender Experience. Watching that suspension work up close might be my favourite part.

626 hp, plenty of dirt, and one seriously capable Defender.

There’s no better place to experience what the Defender OCTA was built for than the Eastnor Defender Experience. Driving a right-hand-drive OCTA through steep climbs, deep ruts and technical off-road sections was the perfect reminder that this SUV is far more than just its 626-hp V8. It’s seriously capable.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend Dongfeng’s Canadian presentation and speak with the people leading the brand’s arrival in Canada. 🇨🇳🇨🇦

While six electrified vehicles were on display, only two models are currently being homologated for the Canadian market. It was an interesting chance to learn more about the company’s long-term plans, its technology and how it hopes to establish itself here.

The products look promising on paper, but as with any new brand, success will ultimately depend on customer experience, after-sales support and the dealer network.

Mercedes-AMG has been building performance wagons since 1987, and nearly 40 years later, the formula is better than ever. The new AMG E 53 HYBRID Wagon packs 577 horsepower, or up to 604 hp with Race Start, while still hauling the family and luggage in comfort. Proof that you don’t need an SUV to have it all. I’d take this over most SUVs any day.
