Toyota Just Built the Craziest Corolla Ever… And It Doesn’t Even Have Rear Seats! 🇯🇵🏁
Just when you thought the GR Corolla couldn’t get any more extreme, Toyota Gazoo Racing has unveiled the new GRMN Corolla, a Nürburgring-developed machine that pushes the humble hatchback into serious track weapon territory.
Built with performance as the absolute priority, the GRMN Corolla receives extensive weight reduction, including the complete removal of the rear seats. A lightweight carbon fibre hood helps shed even more mass, while a large 5-way adjustable rear wing generates additional downforce for high-speed stability.
Power is sent exclusively through a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission, reinforcing Toyota’s commitment to delivering a pure and engaging driving experience. There is no automatic option here. If you want the ultimate Corolla, you’ll have to row your own gears.
The chassis has also received bespoke suspension tuning developed around the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife, paired with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres designed to maximize grip both on track and on demanding roads.
While Toyota has not forgotten its rally-inspired roots, the GRMN Corolla takes things in a different direction. This is less hot hatch and more road-legal track car. Every modification serves a purpose, and every gram saved is aimed at making the car faster.
In an era where performance cars are becoming increasingly digital and automated, the GRMN Corolla stands out by focusing on driver involvement above everything else. It may wear a Corolla badge, but this machine is playing in an entirely different league.
